So what dose every one use to dose calcium? Other than a reactor.

Kent liquid calcium, and the flip side is their supper buffer.

Bionic works and is easy to use. However, it is not very economical long term for anything but <50g tanks. Even more so if you have a high demand for calcium in a SPS/Acropora dominant tank.

Seacheams Reef Builder and Reef Calcium Advantage is basically the same thing only comes in powder form. It just adds one extra step of mixing the tablespoon of powder in a cup of freshwater before dosing. This is a much more economical way to do it vs the 2 part.

Third option, There is a 2 part homemade recipe that would is even cheaper providing you can find the ingredients. There was a link to the artical recently in our forum but I don't have the link handy.

can also dose Kalkwasser which is what I always did but you need to constantly drip it with your top off water to be effective but it's inexpensive.

I drip Kalkwasser... It's a pain ITA, but I find it's the best way to maintain consistent calcium levels. I use Kent Super Buffer dKh weekly to maintain hardness. I am looking forward to adding a calcium reactor someday in the future, on my next system.

it's really not that difficult if you can setup an auto- topoff system and a large reservoir to hold your mix.

I use part A and B product from 2 little fishes daily. It seems to work well on the 29 gallon tank and the 1 gallon jugs last a long time. I use a turkey baster to dose 10-15 cc/day.

Unfortunately, every tank is different so you will have to figure out how much for your tank by starting with small doses, check you levels with a test kit, and keep adding. After several months you will probably have a routine going and won't have to test as often put probably will need to test 1 or 2 a week until you get it right.

Yes, it is in the little pellets. You have to be very careful though, because you can raise your calcium very quickly with this stuff. Works great though.
