Dimmable Moonlight LED's ? Aquacontroller compatible ?

I found this while looking for dimmable moonlight solutions.

http://www.ledtronics.com/ds/par20/

I called the company to get clarification on the term "incandescent" and LED. The guy told me that it REPLACES incandescent lights.

When I asked him if they are dimmable he said yes, with a simple turn knob dimmer from the Homer Depot.
He didn't know anything about x-10 lamp modules that can dim.

So...how do x-10 modules compare to a regular dimmer ? Do you think this lamp would work as a moonlight dimmable by the ACII ?

It would probably be more realistic than rope lights ( and more expensive, lol)

WOW, $108 just for the bulb. That has got to be the most expensive moon light I have seen....

I don't think it is intended to be a moonlight. It's more like a replacement for a regular light bulb as you can see in the picture.
100.000 hour lifetime .... woohooooo 11.5 years continuous light !

If it would work I'd pay that much. You could buy the $59 string from luminex I think but if that dies after a year or so you have to replace it and then you are out more than this one

It will work with the X10 lamp module. The lamp module accepts the intensity command from the AQII. While the X10 Lamp Module is not linear like the a dimmer/rheostat it is basically doing the same thing, vary the voltage to the target device.

Got these babys today.
I screwed them into a light fixture that is hooked up to a dimmer to test and the dimm flawlessly. Plugged them into the lamp module that is hooked up to the ACII and you could tell that it is dimmed.

Then I went to Menards and got a few parts and installed them in my canopy.
--> exactly what I was looking for ! Total cost for 2 of these : $35

I will post a parts list and pictures tomorrow if anyone is interested.

How bright are they? Are they similar to a regular light bulb or not even close. I realize they are a different color and all, but just curious. They look pretty cool.

These won't work with the Aquacontroller as they are driven by a low voltage power supply.
The Aquacontroller uses a lamp module for incandescent loads to dim the lights.

They are pretty bright if I plug 'em into an outlet. Right now there dimmed down just a bit by the ACII
