Curing 4 cups of rubble

I have 4 cups of rubble that I need to cure for my new Nano Tank. I have an established 75g tank with about 70 lbs of LR. I am adding cured LR from my 75g display and sump to the nano, I am guessing it is about 15 lbs.

Should I cure my rubble in the nano or in the established 75 g tank's sump?

Thanks

Throw it in the 75 so you get some bio-diversity.

Sump or display tank?

How long do you think it needs to be in there before it can go in the Nano?

When I setup my nano I took rock out of my 65g display and put it in there. I only had a minor algae bloom (cycle) and then it looked great. If the rock was dry or dead leave it in your display for a while, if it is full of life try your sump for about a week with lower lighting. My thoery on this is if you get it close to the nanos lighting you would not get as much die off which is less chance of a cycle and nusance algae.

The nano is new with nothing in it right (including sand)? Curing it there would be fine.

Curing it in a bucket would be the best (if you can get the heater and power head in there).

75 is last on my list, because I asume you still feed that one...

but deffinatly curing the new and old rock together is best. Not only for the reason smeese mentions, but also because then all your rock will be cleaned out, and as pourous and absorbant as possible

My nano has live sand in it and about 20 lbs of live rock that I took from my 75g display and sump.

I am going to put that in my nano today. I also have the refugium going in the nano.

Teh rubble will be for the refugium and for making piles for pods. The rubble is dead and dried and I don't know how clean it is.

I can cure the rubble in a bucket with a heater and powerhead. Should I just cook the rubble?

Thanks

I'd stick the rock in the bottom of 75g show tank with light to hopefully get some coraline spots to start to growing on it. About 3 weeks would be what I would do.

I assume the warmer the faster the bacteria can multiply.

over 78 should be good.
