Crazy!?!

So I was checking out some frags I got form Jake right before I went to bed last night and I noticed something crazy. As I was hunched over, forehead nearly touching the glass, I noticed a large astrea snail slither by. It had a RBTA stuck to its shell. The anemone had a foot that was about the diameter of a dime. First it surprised me that my anemone wouyld split after having split like 2 months ago. Second it was on a snail! I took a few pics, but didn't get to upload them before work. The anemone that split wasn't healed all the way yet from the last split. It took a little damage when I moved it, so I am sure it split because of stress.
At first I flipped the sanil in the sand because I didn't want it crawling over corals and stinging them with the anemone, but then I felt bad just killinmg it so I put it upright and watched it slither off. I saw the anemone this morning and it was stuck to a rock near the top of the tank.
Crazy!
Derek

Are you sure it's not a majano? These are pest anemones that look very much like tiny BTA's. The multiply like aptasia and not much(including cbb and peppermint shrimp) eat it.

Derek, Majano has the bubbles too, usuallly they have an attractive green flouresce to them, if your is red/orange then likely not as I haven't seen a majano that color. They usually hitch hike on LR and like Stan mentions can become a plague proportions with no known way to control other than Jerry's favorite flame torch method.....

Yeah they actually do pop off little guys. I am sure it is a rose, besides Derek has not really had any aiptasia/majano in his tank. Even if it was not a RBTA it is not worth arguing over. Derek...when are you coming over?
