I've ran carbon daily in my reef tank for almost 6 months straight w/o any problems. I took it out just to see if I'd notice a difference with my supplements staying in the water more.
I found out tonight my Blastomousa(sp) has 10 heads on it, and I bought it from Jerry I think in Jan. with 4 heads on it. So that was exciting to learn.

What I'd be most concerned about is the product being bactericidal and killing off large populations of bacteria in your tank with an accompanied disruption in the established cycle of your tank. Test for things like ammonia every day or two for a short while to make sure there's no spike taking place.
If it doesn't kill bacteria on surfaces it makes me wonder how it functions, possibly more of a physical killing, suffocation by surrounding the bacteria and sealing it as opposed to a chemical killing where it kills through toxicity or an enzymatic disruption like stopping production of critical proteins etc.
Carbon is certainly a good idea. I'd bet it wasn't a concentrated enough dose to cause a significant issue though, assuming she was just misting the area. The big thing to look for is a disruption in the cycle that could cascade.

Well, it is hard to say when you will be out of the woods, but it sounds really promising. Just keep a close eye on it. Like Tutmos says keep checking your amonia, nitrites, & nitrates for any spikes. If you suspect anyhting going bad I would try to get all your corals into a storage container with freshly mixed water and then clean your tank out real well with vinegar & water to hopefully remove any residue and such. Your rock may be at a loss because it may absorb the chemicals... but that is hopefully worst case scenario. Good Luck and Good Night. Keep us posted if things change.

Good luck and keep us posted. My bet is you will not see any effect from the Oust, but I would still take all the precautions mentioned above.

I put in carbon for overnight and took it out this morning. Evrything looks good. I got lucky. Seems there are no affects from the OUST. Thanks again for all the input!

Jen is doing awesome!! Lots of good and exciting changes in her life. I spoke with her last night and she said she was going to post an update soon.
btw: My fish/corals are all still fine, so I am confident I made it through without a scratch and the mother in law left today so my tank should be safe for awhile

IF that were my mother in law, she'd be sleeping in the garage from now on.
