"Cool Guy" Luminarc Reflectors - Group Order!

The thread that this started on has diverged onto an entirely different topic, something I hope we can avoid, at least for a few days, in this thread.

I'm looking to place a group order for reflectors. Here's the product.

The reflectors can be ordered as reflectors alone, or bundled with a variety of bulbs, ballasts, and options.

The price would be based on the number of reflectors ordered, as follows:
1-9 reflectors - $130 - no discount
10+ reflectors - $115 About 11.5% off
20+ reflectors - $105 About 19% off

A decent discount on what many consider to be the BEST MH reflector.

My thoughts are that, as before, we would accumulate the orders in this thread. Once we reach a enough orders to qualify for a discount, I'll verify the shipping cost, distribute that accordingly and collect payments (don't want to be stuck with a dozen extra unpaid for reflectors!), then place the order.
Orders would then be picked up from my house, and/or delivered to a subsequent meeting.

Ron

Since Luke offered to ship the order to two different receiving addresses, I have invited the Atlanta Reef Club to combine purchasing power with us, and place a sort of "group group order". Perhaps we can hit 20+ reflectors between the two groups.

just a note, there is additional savings to be had from the group order because of shipping, it ended up only being $7 each for my order (would be about $11 if ya ordered just one on your own). they will also give good deals on bulbs/ ac kits. BTW i bought one of the 400w magnetic ballasts last time because it was such a good deal ($79.95) and it works great but be aware that it does produce a semi loud humming sound.

if you don't get 20 you should see if they will price match the order they did for our club last time.

For 1-10 units -$125 ea
For 10-20 units - $110 ea

For 20+ units - $105 ea

AC kit $35
250w XM 20k's $60
400w XM 20k's $62
250w ushio 10K's $70
400w ushio 10k's $75

you should also see if they will price match Reefscience.com 's XM bulb price. They are pretty much always onsale for $59 for any SE 400w or and SE 250w. If they can match it I may order a couple bulbs with you guys otherwise I may just order from Reefscience.

As for ordering time: I can wait a bit, and the longer we wait, the more I'll likely buy. Shall we set a target order date?

Verified:

thegrimreefer - 1 mini w/400w eballast & 10K
carman34l - 1 mini w/SE mogul
epidemic - 1 L3

Potential:
thegrimreefer - 1 or 2 mini (ba$ed on finance$ at order time)
smeese - 3 L3 (if we get to the 20+ price)
jules77 - 9 (coordinating with Michigan club)

a few weeks to a month would be great! I figure the longer we wait the more we can get to commit. the more we save.

Well, this thread was buried 4 pages back.
jules77 and the MI club have done something else.
I've gotten no response from the Atlanta club since they discovered I'm not the T5 wielding "GrimReefer from RC".

That leaves us, at least for now, with 3, not enough to bother making a group order. This must not be the right time.
