Trying to hook up this ro filter in my laundry room. Can I use a brass fitting to connect an ro tube to?

In the picture is that foam covering the pipe? I'm assuming it's copper?

You need the little brass insert that goes inside the plastic tubing. It makes it rigid so that the compression ring has something to compress against. Without it the tube simply gives out and won't seal.

Menards sells them for something like a $1 for the 2-pack. Get the 1/8" tubing size.

It's exactly what I used on mine.

and you probably want to use teflon tape on the 3/4" connection so you get a really good seal.

I thought you are not supposed to use metal fittings of any kind.

They should have nylon or PVC fittings for this.
