Hey everybody -- Just wanted to tell you about my recent experience with Clams Direct.
I'd heard great things about Barry Neigut/Clams Direct, so I placed an online order a couple weeks ago. Immediately after completing the order, I realized that I had entered the wrong delivery date, so I called Barry up to see if I could change it. He was extremely nice and accommodating, and also took a few minutes to ask if I had any problems ordering from the site.
Two days later the clams arrived, as promised. I opened up the package and I have never seen livestock packaged as well as these clams. I've ordered animals online several times, but this packaging was, by far, the best. All the bags were very snug in the box, very secure, and still toasty, despite the 50-degree morning temp. I acclimated the clams per Barry's instructions, and within minutes they were open and looking gorgeous. I was very pleased.
Later that same night Barry called. He saw that I had signed for them at 8:30 AM and wanted to make sure that I had indeed received them, that I was happy with them, and if I had any questions or concerns.
Then, just when I thought things couldn't get any better, I recieved a thank-you card from Barry over the weekend thanking me for my business. Talk about customer service!
FYI, Clams Direct was having some problems with their website frequently being down, but they have recently moved their site to a hopefully more stable server.
I highly recommend Barry and Clams Direct.
