Clam update...pics!!
As some of you know I bought two clams from mmclain at the last meeting, very beautiful clams! Yesterday I upgraded to a 150 watt HQI over my 37 gallon cube with 130 watts of pc actinic, I still have to make a hood to house both the lights, so they are temporarily setting on top of the tank. Here are a couple pics of the crocea, it is doing awesome. The maxima didn't make it, I fed both of them the same, they sat at the same height in the tank, but the maxima just wouldn't attach, was doing real well for about a solid week, then over the course of about 2 weeks just didn't open up a whole lot. Then one morning I woke to find him dead. Such is the hobby though, I am eager to get another since the crocea is doing so well.
It is amazing how much difference you see in the coloration just from viewing the crocea from different angles, from one of the sides it looks brown and purple, then from another side it looks like it has more blue, then from above the coloration is amazing!! mmclain definitely got me a high grade crocea!! Anyways, enjoy the pics!

Superman, looks good! I've got a mushroom rock with your name on it. Would you like it before Saturday? I won't be at the meeting. JP is bringing my stuff. If you want it sooner let me know. I have a few pieces I think you'll be very interested in. By the way. How do you get your pictures to post bigger. I went to photo bucket and copy and paste, but they come out small. Do I need to use a higher quality on my camera? Is that your picture phone?

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. Tico Mike, I can pick up that mushroom rock today if that would work out for you. When in photobucket I copy the image url(under the picture third option down) I delete the [IMG] from the beginning and end and use the insert image button and paste it. Yes these pictures were taken with my nokia camera phone, not too bad for a camera phone eh? Supergirl loves the crocea, it is funny to see how much she loves the hobby, but doesn't get too involved with the maintenance of the tanks, but oh well, as long as she keeps supporting my hobby financially I will be happy

Paul,
Sorry to hear about the Maxima, I wasn't aware that it wasn't doing well.
I do have a couple more Croceas (4+") as well as a couple of Teardrop Maximas (4" - 5") that I've had now for a couple of weeks. Anyway, I feel bad about the Maxima going south on you. If you are interested let me know and I can send you some pics. I am sure we can do something that works out for both of us.
Mike

Let this be a testament to what type of a guy mmclain is. Thanks for your concern Mike, I really do appreciate your willingness to help me out. I sent you a PM.
