can you fix acrylic cracks ?


can i fix this crack in the acrylic with some glue or something ?

Is it a crack, from the pic it looks like a scratch?

ill try and make a better pic but it is a crack . it goes all the way up and spiders a bit.

if you dry the crack and use a little bit of weldon 40 it should fix the crack. just be careful because it looks like there is some crazing going on there. its at the top of the sump so it shouldnt be too much of a problem fixing it. just dont try to fix it with water in the sump.

Maybe cut a peice of acrylic and glue it on the crack.

I accidentally cracked a piece of my sump, I was so mad. I just clean broke it off and then glued it back on with weld on 3 and 16 for a seal.

Fix it how ever you like I'm sure you'll get a lot of advice. The best way to get it fixed is to take it to an acyrlic shop and have them put a patch over the top of it. I have seen a lot of DIY fixes and they have all been ugly and most leak!!
