Calcium Rx ID and instructions

I bought this Reactor off a guy a while back and can't remember who it was. He said this was made by a club member but I can't seem to remember who that was either. If anyone recognizes it let me know. I'm trying to figure out how it's hooked up and how to use it.

It was mine. I used on a 400g+ system.

It's a shame you paid for it as I GAVE it away.

All the ins/outs were labeled at the time.

You need a mag drive pump ( model 2 or 3 will work ) for the recirculating part ( which attaches the 1/2" tubing parts. ). The 1/4" tubing on the T fitting, one goes to top of the reactor for the CO2 recriculation and the other goes to your CO2 regulator/bubble counter ( not pictured ). 3/8" tubing on top goes to the bottom of the smaller reactor. Top fitting on the smaller chamber is the effluent out.

Usually to get the gasket to seal good you will need to use petroleum jelly ( it's not soluable in salt waster so no worries ). Good idea to buy some extra 1/4" nylon wing nuts and bolts from usplastics.com. It's sized so large that you won't have to change out media very often but the nylon bolts strip easy it tightened too much.

I have since changed philosophies and recommend using automated 2 part systems that don't introduce additional CO2 into your tanks and supressing PH. I used Reactors from 1998-2004 and no plans to ever use one again. I also suspect that the reactor is way oversized for your use.

Did you give away the co2 bottle and regulator that I bought too?

Could you give me instructions on how to hook it up? There are a few tags still there but many of the outlets and hoses are not marked

I had been editing the original post. I detailed every in/out. Looks like the one 1/4" tubing has been cut as there are only 2 1/4" tubing fittings. One for the CO2 recirculation that hooks to the top of the reactor and one for the bubble counter ( not pictured ) both attach to the T fitting.

No I didn't give away the 20lb CO2 tank and regulator but sold it was cheaper than the deposit for the tank alone from Toll welding where it came from.

I gave it away with the CO2 because I was just going to throw it away. I had no intention of it changing hands. So don't expect too much support from me and no guarantees.

I will also remind you that I did have a plasitc pan on the bottom that I believe I included ( ordered from usplastics.com about $20 ). If too much pressure is allowed to build up in the reactor and it can cause the top plates to bulge and leak. Under normal conditions it doesn't occur but if you have the bubble count adjusted too high then over time may leak from the internal pressure so for sure put something under it to catch any drippings that may occur.

It did a great job on my system ( outside of the inherit low PH ).

I'm not sure I'm getting how the pump hooks up. there is a 1/2" T and a 1/2" line off the top of chamber#1. I'm assuming one inlet one output, what's the other for?

Tank water in. I used a MJ 400 I believe which 1/2" tubing fits onto the MJ pump snugly but also best to use with a plastic clamp to hold it on. The recirculation pump output goes to the top of the reactor. The 1/4" tubing for the CO2 etc. is where the recirculation pump inlet is so that the CO2 gets chopped up.

I also gave it away for FREE when I sold the CO2 bottle and selinoid.
