Bulkheads
I need to pick up a couple of bulkheads, and was really hoping to find them locally. You know how it is...once I get started on a project I really don't want to wait; I want it now! Anyone got a suggestion?

You're probably better off (pricewise) going somewhere other than a petstore to get bulkheads.

Sounds like you need better planning or more patience.....

Frankly I haven't really seen a decent price online either. I don't understand why they are so expensive. Assuming that I'm going to apply some patience, where do you get them online?

Expensive can be relative term. What do you consider expensive? How much are you looking to spend?

I'm going to spend whatever they cost, of course. I just don't understand why one might cost $7, while so many other PVC fixtures that seem to be equally complicated/difficult to manufacture only cost $1 or $2.

With PVC, the more parts the more $$$. Any molded fittings are cheap. You wouldn't believe how the cost jumps as the size increases.

Try Fleet Farm or possibly Tractor Supply. I picked up a couple at FF in the agriculture section when I was drilling my tank.

With cheap BHs, you may need to silicone the outer nut to get it watertight.
Try the heavy dty ones at Savco(online). Best I've seen, and come in grey.
Can't find the address.
