I am starting to get an aiptasia infestation, and I was wondering if anyone has ever used berghia nudibranches to control them. Also, has anyone ever contemplated on breeding them or has anyone breeded them before?

I've tried Bergia 3 times.

One time the Bergia seemed to disappear in the tank after the first day, never to be seen again, but several months later I realized there were a lot fewer Aiptasia.

Another time they just disappeared and I did not see them after a few days. No reduction in Aiptasia was apparent.

Another time I saw them occassionally for a month or two, but there was no meaningful reduction in Aiptasia.

I wouldn't immediately dump one into my system. I heard that you should let them get a certain size. The only thing that keeps me from buying one is that they are expensive if you dont buy it from someone else. Red Sea, thanks for the link, I already made a post on it a few days ago. The only downside about these things is that once aiptasia are gone so is your expensive pet unless you can feed 'em more. anyway, all i want is one then I will pass it on to someone else...iff it doesn't die.
