Bare bottom

I want to buy a new 150 show and drill it, I have a overflow box now...Go bare bottom with star board and watch the results, My tank is ok but I do not think it is drillable. Any suggestions? Will this be worth all of the work? I will maybe use the old tank for a baby alligator or something. Thanks for all input..Free frags if anyone wants to help!!

Unless your infatuated with sand creatures... conches etc, sandstars, etc. go barebottom. If your doing SPS, I would strongly suggest BB.
