Are these really PPE's?
Are these really PPE's... They don't look like the PPE's I have seen anywhere else? A friend of mine down in Iowa is looking at these. $200 for not many polyps I thought I would double check for him.
I thought people around here said this guy was legit, but can't remember.
Does anyone have any PPE's that could chime in?

those look more pink than purple, and if they are pink they are not worth $200.00 as I bought a large rock full of pinks for around $40. from my LFS

I would call him direct and ask him before you order. Scott is a very nice guy, but it's not wise to spend that kind of money without hearing and clarifying. He'll answer any questions you have about any of the pieces. I've called to ask on one piece and he's told me of a nicer piece and the pic wasn't good, but the coral was so much nicer. I've never been disappointed with anything from him, but it's always at your risk.

There are a couple threads over on RC from a guy that bought one of the rocks. He paid $200 for a rock with 25 polyps on it. He posted on RC and everyone agreed that it was pretty much a scam. The guy has been in contact with Scott and he is going to "work something out", whatever that means. So at this point he surely knows that they aren't PPE's. (I'm sure he knew before, but surely knows now)
On one hand I think the guy that actually bought some for $200 should have asked the questions before ordering, so it's partially his fault in my mind. But on the other hand, I don't see any difference in someone putting up some kind of purple acro frags on a site and calling them Purple Monster frags and charging $100/inch for them when they aren't. I would say that the customer has a certain responsibility to know what they are buying, but the fact that he knows they aren't PPE's and he still is leaving them up there trying to get that kind of money is just plain wrong IMO.
I will be stocking my tank this spring hopefully and I am glad I noticed this, I had planned on trying to get some stuff from this place because of the good things others have said in the past.

Does anyone have a pic of PPE's? I'm not into the zoos and palys so much, so I'd like to see the acan and miro priced PPE's.

those look to be the real deal. Anything with a green ringed mouth is considered a People Eater, wether it is red, green, purple, or whatever. (according to www.zoaid.com)
