Aquacontroller JR or Reefkeeper 2

They both look very similar. Both have temp and PH capabilities. (have to buy ph probe seperately for both I believe) and they both have the included outlets so you don't have to by the x10 modules.... as far as I can tell they look very similar. I am on a pretty tight budget, so I like having my light timers, temp controller, and ph all in one unit. Considering they are both the same price range which one would/do you use and why?

I personally would go with the aquacontroller just for names sake. I had the original reefkeeper and had no complaints but them upgraded to the aquacontroller. They are both great units, however neptune systems have been around longer so that would be the ONLY reason why I would choose one or the other.

reefkeeper II is definately an improvement over the original. Being able to upgrade the software on the new one is big. However, the main difference I see between them is that on the reefkeeper II your still limited by what the software can do. The Jr. on the other hand you have more freedom with the programming.

Personally I'm probably going to go with the RK II, I have the orginal ( actually got it from John from above post ). I do like the it and RK I or II will probably do everything I need it to. I think the Jr. is a little more expensive but IMO the extra versatility may be worth it to some.

I'm also pretty sure that since the RK II is not quite out yet and will be pretty new there may be some growing pains and some issues that may get uncovered. The Jr. on the other hand will probably be a little more reliable in the beginning.

I've got a reefkeeper via JP. Perfect for me. I already had a ph monitor and use it for the timers and temp. control.
