Aquac Urchin keeps overflowing

I purchased a aquac Urchin pro last week to replace the bak-pak 2r. It has been running for a week and it keeps filling extremely fast. I have the O-ring all the way down to the drain fitting to get as least amount of water that I can. However it will fill up the 1 liter bottle that I have the drain line going to. It will do this in about an hour's time. I have taken the oring off and put it on from the bottom of the collection cup so I can raise it higher and then it will not produce anything in the cup. It is like the drain line fitting was drilled in the wrong place? cause about perfect would be where the drain line sits. It started overflowing as soon as it was hooked up last week. The skimate color looks like light green tea. Does anyone ahve any exp. with this skimmer? The pump on the skimmer is a mag 3.

Thinking back to my Aqua C, Remora, shouldn't you have to raise the collection cup to produce a drier skimmate?

Have you been using epoxy putty in the tank recently to attach corals or LR ? This can cause skimmer to go nuts for a while but will settle down.....

My two year old was fine with the tank and then I saw here running around with the formalin bottle! Needles to say I put those little childproof clips on the cabinet door immediately.
