Anyplace special I should buy my tank?
I think I've decided that I want to get an All Glass 75 gallon tank with the Megaflow overflow setup. Anyplace in town better than others price wise for tanks? I'm pretty sure that the last time I was at Something Fishy they had the tank I want, but I would assume all the shops in town would have, or could get it. If I'm likely to get a better price somewhere besides SF let me know & I'll check it out. If anyone has a used one of these they want rid of shoot me a price.

I would try Forest Lake Pets. They usually have the best prices for tanks

Do any of you run a Megaflow setup? Just curious how you like it. Should I be looking to do something different for a setup? I don't want to end up getting "gimmicked". It seems like a pretty nice setup from reading their info.

I haven't used them, but it looks to be that the overflow teeth would need to be cleaned more frequently than the average overflow and some DIY-work might need to be done.
Other than that...they look fine. I made a choice lately between the AGA, Oceanic, and the Perfecto Jetstream pedestal-stlye overflow in the 120g size, and the Oceanic is what is on the way. They seem more sturdy, but the AGA overflows look better IMO. Flow rates souldn't differ between the two, but the Perfecto might not be a bad option. I didn't really consider it because it doesn't have return lines in the tank like the Oc. and the AGA models.
Forest Lake Pets likes them, among a few others, but the are brand new, so who knows.

Thanks Joe,
I haven't gotten a call in to Forest Lake Pets yet. I did find out Something Fishy's price though. $230 for the tank (woodgrain trim), $250 for an oak (modern style) stand and $150 for an oak (modern style) canopy. I haven't looked around much, but that didn't seem bad. Will try & call FLP tomorrow.

Take jerry's advise and talk to those guys at FLP. Those prices don't sound bad though.

I was at wet pet in apple valley today and they had a 75 gallon aga with that megaflow overflow. It was $499 with stand, tank, plumbing kit, and some sort of canopy although they didn't have it sitting on the tank.

I didn't do a lot of shopping around myself but a friend of mine said he did and found the Wet Pet to have good prices (on aquariums).

Do you know if the stand was Oak or Pine? The Oak setup at SF is $630, they have a Pine setup ffor $465. I just like the Oak a lot better.
I'm not trying to be cheap as much as just not screw myself. I'm not going to drive forever to save $50 while at the same time spending $30 in gas if you know what I mean.

When I called around, WOF actually had the cheapest 75 gal reef ready.
This was about a month or two ago.
Good luck
