squirels and coons would be 2 of the coolest animals ever....and prolly the naughtiest! man they woudl rip your house apart i bet!

i used to have a leopard gecko and a turtle that i found when it was MAYBE the size of a quarter. raised it in our door for 1-2yrs and finally let it go why i don't know. it was about the size of our palm of our hand. very fun. we would let it walk in our dorm room and out in the hallway. it would walk down a door or two and come back...look in...see me and my roomie and come in our room. Turk the turtle was fun

I have a couple milking goats(not really pets though), I'll try to get some pics of them. I want to get a peacock, supposedly they are territorial so they would help scare away herons.

I haven't had really any unusual pets, but my dad always tells me about his unique pet from when he was younger.

On the farm where they lived they were moving a wood pile to get ready for burning, and found an abandoned Sawheet Owl baby (sp?) He hand fed it pieces of chicken, and other types of meat until it was old enough to hunt on its own. Eventually he let it go, but it always stayed around the farm and fly to him when he was out in the fields. I always thought that would be pretty cool.

That would be a sawhet owl.

Just don't let it mistake your finger for some chicken. That beak could do plenty of damage.

Actually the coons were never naughty, they were very well mannered, kept them in the house until they were old enough to be outside, then they turned more nocturnal and and saw them at about dinner time until we went to bed. The loved the dogs and cats too. Boy do I have funny stories about the coons. I remember the 1st time they climed a tree, took them many hours and a lot of crying (them) to come down, I had to climb up it and coach them down too. They are also very clean animals, always washed their food, their paws, their face, their coats, beautiful animals. I'll have to look around in the picture boxes and scan a pic and post it.

We had a grey squirrel before he left in the fall. My daughter loved that thing. My brother rasies snakes...wierd ones like cobra's, Gibboon vipers, egyptian temple vipers. Wierd scary snakes. He had a bushmaster that got loose in the house for a few weeks. He woke up one night to find it laying on his chest. He said that was the scariest moment of his life. He gave Josh an American alligator for his 8th b-day. We had African Grey parrot we rescued. I grew up with bears and tigers, my grandpa was one of those freaky people who could communicate with animals, people hated him and even wild animals would follow him around. He had a bobcat living with him for years.
