AGA 180 RR Price?
Just curious if anyone has shopped for a new AGA 180 reef ready tank lately and would know how much they go for new? I have a chance to pick up a new one, way ahead of schedule for me but if the deal is too good to pass up then I won't.

Call Forest Lake Pets for a quote. They usually have the best prices locally for tanks.....

I just bought a 210 rr aga from flp a couple weeks ago. It was $699. I think the 180 was $549, but I didn't look close enough to see if it was drilled or not.

In case anyone else was wondering, at FLP the 180 in Reef Ready is $629.

The addition on my house isn't finished yet, but I figured I better get it while it was available and a decent price.
Now I find all the threads that say it doesn't flow enough. guess I'll use all four holes for drains.

So Raven, just how much flow are you planning ?
IMO: You shouldn't need any more than 1200gph through the sump/overflow.
All the rest of the flow should be in tank circulation, either powerheads, tunze streams or closed loops.
Not very effecient and more things to go wrong when pushing the limits of your overflows when using your return pump for the majority of your flow.......

Hi Dave. I don't want to hijack a thread, but I was planning on running 10 times flow through the sump. Somewhere between 1800gph and 2400gph. Think thats too much?

Steve, I agree with Dave on this. If you want that much flow, do it via a closed loop or tunzes. It doesn't mean you shouldn't have a nice pump for your main return, however.

Price at Forest Lake
I was at the shop this eve and they had a 180 standard for $369.
It feels weird goin in there. I knowlmost all the manager level people in there from 6 to 8 years ago. Most of them used to have thier own stores. Freindly level with 2 of them. Aquaintances with 2 others. Like old times again.. well once I get a tank going.

Did the tank come with a stand for the $369 price, or is a stand extra?
By standard I'm assuming you mean undrilled, no overflow?

I like holes....
Now to get it from the garage to the basement.....and finish the basement....and build the wall it's going in....and the fish room behind the wall.....and move the 90 from upstairs to downstairs.....and move the 75 from the girlfriends house to the basement....along with the 55 gallon maybe.
Sounds like fun.
