A dog with out a home
A couple of weeks back I offered corals for free and trade. SPS seemed to peek the most interest followed by buttons and a giant toadstool leather. My poor Galaxia felt very badly, nobody even mentioned this poor guy, no body want him

Nice looking coral, but I don't have the room for another set of 6"+ sweepers

hmm, when you come over for some "presents," I'll give you some of mine. I should make it a requirement to anyone I give frags to. It's a cool coral, it's just those **** sweepers it lets out...

Polskp, you want some? I started off with a patch no bigger than 2" in diameter. After 6 months or so, it's now almost 4", and I swear sometimes the sweepers are 10" long....nasty little thing, it has it's own corner of the tank where the sweepers can't touch anything but a couple of shrooms

I would love a start of this guy, with its own little corner it should be fine. How much light do they need?

Sue, this was the coral under my overflow box, and even partially shaded was doing great. PC's or MH should be just fine with it, although, if under MH, I would try putting it on the lower half of the tank. I'll figure out a way to frag this for you and Polskp, short of breaking out a hammer and screwdriver, like last time

LOL!! You did GREAT last time! It worked didn't it? I'd love to have some of it, I'll just keep a healthy respect for those sweepers. It is a lovely coral!

trodder still interested or are you going to go for a more local offer. Currently the Galaxia is about softball size living at the bottom of my 90 gallon lit with T5s. It is tough as nails, good looking, but has pretty long sweepers. Finding the right spot in the current seems to be the trick to saving the other corals from the sting.
