1 Rbta = 1 + 1!!!!!

My RBTA SPLIT!
I'm pretty psyched. Last night I had one anemone, I fed it a big meal, and this morning when I woke up it was two! I got pictures too!

How large was the anenome before it split? I have a green carpet anenome that I want to split. He keeps getting bigger and bigger. Currently he could wrap around a basketball.

I don't think is supposed to be a small strain. I got it from davidzou before he left. It is about the size of a racket ball when fully inflated. Li- do I need to move it to another tank or my sump for a couple weeks then? I already moved the smaller piece. My clowns do love it a lot. Weepingtuna- I think these are one of the easier ones to split. I know it was secured into a nice deep hole in the rock first in my sump, I fed it a lot, I moved it to a new tank with much more light and more direct flow and the new tank had clowns that played in it all day. I don't know if that works for carpets though. I'll trade you anemones if you ever get yours to split

I thought the only clowns that are REALLY rough on the anemones were the maroons...I know they can rip the mouths of their hosts.
But I thought the other types of clowns were much more gentle on them.

Actually...the b4 photo looks like 2 separate anemones seated next to eachother to me.

Yes, it does but shortly after that I fed it/them, and it was one. I have pics from other angles too. It was one from david. Thats strange that they split around the same time.
