WTB: T5 HO Lighting or other lighting options

I'm looking to buy some lighting for a 55 that I am setting up and want to see if anyone has any T5 HO lighting available in the area. I'd also be interested in other lighting options, if someone has some they are looking to sell. Please let me know. Thanks, Mike

Mike,

I will be selling my dual 175 setup as well with 14K Hamilton bulbs. I bought the setup last September.

Also, I still have the skimmer.

Chad - I'll certainly keep that in mind. It looks like I'll probably have to go the DIY way since I can't seem to find any T5 stuff in any of the LFS. Let me know when you're no longer using it.

Anyone else with T5 stuff? I've been reading quite a bit of stuff online and it just seems to be the way for me to go. Does anyone think there would be a problem running them on a 55? I'm not seeing the downside of using them exclusively since the 55 is a fairly shallow tank. I'm listening if anyone has any other opinions.

Steve - I will certainly keep you in mind if I can't find the T5 stuff. If I can, I'm thinking that I'd rather go with them. Just want to not have to have a chiller running if I can help it.

Jon - I will also certainly keep yours in mind. I still have a little bit of time before I'm going to need full lighting. As for the skimmer, it looks like it is going to be a little large for the sump I'm going to end up with. I was hoping to fit a 30 long into the stand but I lack about 1/2" from getting one to fit (which means I can't use any premade tank except a 10 gallon). I may end up having to get something done custom to get what I need. Don't hold it, if you have anyone interested and once I settle on a sump and it has the necessary room, I'll give you a call.

Thanks for everyone taking the time to help, Mike
