why is this forum so popular?

just a random question. the ARC forum on RC is kinda dead. the "official" ARC is rather dead. and this one is comparably very active.

just curious if theres a reason to that or not.

doesnt have to be, makes no difference.

The ARC forums are fairly new. Since everyone is already over here, it is slow to take off. We like TRT, and basically made the ARC forums so our sponsors (and members) could make commercial posts, which are forbidden over here. We appreciate TRT's hosting of the club discussions and gracious treatment over the years, and aren't really looking to move everything over to the ARC forums at this time.

We used to be active on RC, but the club decided to move to TRT for reasons I forget (and are probably completely unimportant at this time). Both TRT and RC are valuable resources for us and SaltwaterU sponsors!

They both have good knowlage. But to me TRT is more family like, you can ask anything and you won't feel dumb asking about it or be put down for it.

I think ARC and RC sites act as portals for this site, where there is more traffic.

Speaking of which, we just hit 400 people signed up on the ARC site - and it just was activated 9 months ago.

It is good to remember that most of the 250 members of ARC aren't active on any board, and may be active through going to meetings, SWU, or other events. People participate in many ways.

I do apologize but I think the other reason is that my corporate screeners screen out Reef Central and the ARC Website. For some reason the TRT is not screened. I typically read most of messages during the working day. Mostly at lunch or at breaks.
