Where to get U/V glass??

I got a 150w DE halide retro kit for my new tank and it needs UV glass.

anyone know where I can get some. I would prefer plexi or lexan but glass will work.

Since you are running DE bulbs, be sure to ask for low e glass to get adequate UV shielding.

"Low-E glass: A common term used to refer to glass which has low emissivity due to a film or metallic coating on the glass or suspended between the two lights of glass to restrict the passage of radiant heat."--from Anderson Windows

I think what you want is actually tempered glass, 1/8" thick for the safety and strength. Almost any glass will cut the UV-C rays sufficiently to protect you from sunburn while still allowing enough UV-A to benefit your corals.

I have used Binswanger Glass in Lilburn, and have always been pleased. I do not know if they have what you are looking for but worth a call.
