When is the best time to go to the GA Aquarium??

I have been told by several people that the best time to go to the GA aquarium is before 9:00am on the weekends, but I was wondering: How are the crowds at 3:00pm on a Sat. ?? I would have asked this question at the meeting last night, but I was distracted and forgot.

There are crowds all the time, but my experience is the earlier the better! Get there right when the doors open. Around lunch time, it gets really crowded

I went last Friday at 8:45 or so. Once the gates opened it only took 10 minutes to get inside.

I went at 4:30 yesterday and it was great. What was better I was early enough to the meeting I got to sneak around the whole place for a bit with just a few people around

Go early for clearer waters... Even at noon the water in the main tank gets a bit cloudy from the feedings.

When you make reservations, they'll ask you to pick a time slot for your day. Generally, the slots with more tickets still available = less crowds. Generally. I went a few weeks ago on Tuesday at 11am with decent results, but you get alot of school field trips after 10 or so.

As crowded as it gets towards lunchtime, the tunnel under the main tank really does look breathtaking when it's sunny outside with real sunlight pouring down through the tank. In and around noon, it comes straight down on the tunnel.
