Ok... So I wrote the guy and I wasn't exactly nice, but I wasn't mean either. Here is what I wrote and what he wrote back.

I have a question. Since this is a Mummified SEA MONSTER and looks like a fish, where are the gills? Actually the more I look at it it looks like a baboon's head attached to a fish's body. Am I getting warmer? This is a really good looking FAKE, and I can't believe people buy crap like this from you when you claim it's real. But I have to hand it to you, your obviously making money, so why not sell fake Mummified SEA MONSTERS. Why don't you post this on the auction page!
Where are the gills on an whale? some fish breathe air as we do, without gills. This is not crap as you say. I am the only person in the world selling such items. You can't buy what I auction anywhere else. Many of my bidders are past customers of mine. If you look at my feedback you will see it's perfect. I have been selling similar items on ebay for years now. My bidders know what they are bidding on. The value of my offerings will only go up in value over time. They are good investments. Thanks for writing.

Before we pass judgment, Keep in mind that some of our fellow hobbyists have paid hundreds or thousands for small Acans and such ....
Dif strokes for dif folks , most of us reefers spend more on our hobby then this fellows tongue and cheek followers. ...Im sure in my old age it would be more fun to show the grand kids this "creature" then the Twenty year old chiller I chose to spend my spare $500 hobby bucks on.
Im sure his customers are tickled pink with the fantasy and wonder he is peddling.
Isn't that the same thing our captive wet dreams spawn?
"Wonder" is what makes being alive so great.........
Why spoil the fun..........?
" He who is without a like wise sin , cast the first acan."

That is very true - to each his own. What rubs me the wrong way is that he's claiming they are real (which is at the very least a lie). They do look kinda cool, though.

of course its a lie, but they look pretty cool yet freaky at the same time. The person that actuallysells the stuff in the last one would be a person i would not want to meet in a dark alley
