We met with the Georgia Aquarium this morning about SWU2
Well, it is official! SWU2 will be at the Georgia Aquarium May 5-7, 2006, with Gray's Reef being May 3-5, 2006.
Even more exciting is the fact that we will be having the event in portions of the Georgia Aquarium not ever seen as part of the general admission (this will be more in line with their educational program and it is far less expensive!). We will be limited to a total of 250 people at any given time (although some people might just come for portions of the events, etc., so the total number in attendence over 3 days will be much higher (I would estimate 400-500). Based on last year, this number is easily approachable, and by doing it this way it will offer less financial exposure to the ARC. There are also a few surprizes planned.....including parties, scientific poster presentations, exhibitors, behind the scene tours, etc.
The more volunteers, the more fun it is and the less work it is for any one person. Many hands make light work. Last time we proved we could do it well, this year is the year we solidify it to last on a yearly basis and to prepare to host MACNA 2008 in conjuction with SWU4. The first SWU2 party/planning meeting is at our house Sept. 10th at 6:30. Let us know if you are attending the meeting/party.

Warm regards,
Steve
