WAZZABBEE: New Start-Up Here: Kennesaw

Just wanted to formally introduce myself. I am 29, lived in North, GA all my life and got started on this about 1 month ago. My son is 2 and daugter is 3. He absolutely froze up the first time he looked into a fish tank. Well that means Dad got an oppurtunity to take on a big project for them (well HUGE project i should say).

I went over to Marine Fish in east cobb after looking around at the normal Petsmart and other retail shops and really seeing the difference in the salt water colors. I picked up a relatively small start up package with a 75g tank, filter, hydro, dig. temp, sand, salt mix, light and a hole bunch of hopes...

Little more about me, I'm an account executive for a office furniture retailer here locally. Hince my extra heavy duty stand/4 door credenza cabinet. I also road race motorcycles and love speed in general MY SITE

I look forward to lots of great knowledge share and meeting folks as well.

-Eric

yea, I walked into Marine Fish wanting a shark and possible sting ray. They have one that's like 18 inches or so... sum***** never stopped swimming and he's was gonna be a 3-4 foot shark they said. My first question was....

"is that a 75-100 gallon tank?"

"Bwwahhhh, No! It's a 200 gallon tank!"

"Holy Muther Of Hell!" ** HUGE REALITY CHECK**

Then I spent about 3-4 hrs last night reading up on filtration, salinity, mixing my salt, etc... etc.. etc.. I was needless to say shocked when I truly found out how much is involved with a 75g tank.

Can't trade in the bike but I can already see this being a huge money pit!

No kidding! First the kids, then the aquariums, and the bikes had to go... I just sold my last bike so I could have the money to build my stand and get my last bit of equipment... But then again, I'm not an account exec...!

Anyhow, welcome, we're glad to have you aboard!
