Waves
I finally got water into a tank [a sump actually] and by accident discovered a great way to make waves. The first partition had the water flowing straight down and it was disrupting the sand bed, so I installed a right angle ledge. It produces a very noticable wake on the surface. Just thought it was worth a photo.

Here is the whole setup. Eventually I will have a 72" tank but for now I plan to just mature the sump using the ecosystem model.

Looking good William.
Glad to see you have finally decided to startup that project -- I know it has been a long time in the makeing.

Doug, this is the lamp system I used. The paper is just stuck there [forgot to remove]. The hanging handles are wire drawer pulls.

I love your idea of using adjustable shelving brackets to hold your lighting fixture. I may have to steal that idea and use it on my new canopy/cabinet I'm building. Inexpensive, adjustable and functional! Well done.

Very nice wave action indeed!
William, I'm glad to see that you're approaching the final stages of getting your system going!
Now onto our other New Year's resolutions! Right?!
Thanks for sharing your finding William!
