Two types of pulsing Xenia FS/Ft?

I've got bunches of Xenia. Multiples are attached to larger rocks.

Is there a correct way to remove this stuff from the rocks?
Yeah, I know some of you will say with kalk and to melt them away for good.

But for those of you interested in having some, I'd like to thin them out.

One is the basic shorter stalk pinkinsh white pulsing red sea and the other is a really nice reddish brown, longer tentacle.

Dale, I've found the easiest way to move them is to place a small rock next to them for a week or so. They will start to grow onto the new rock and then you can just use a razor blade to seperate the foot from the main colony.

I've also found that you can literally peal them off of the rock. Start at the base by the foot and you can sometimes peal them off. I've had very little luck getting these to reattach though.
