But its not.IMO hold fast is a better product than the stuff people buy at HD and places like that. It cost a bit more(9-15) but I think that it is worth it just MO. Reggie

Reggie:

What makes holdfast better than say, aquamend at HD, or locktite epoxy putty at Wal-Mart? Not critizing, just wanted to know.

See you this Saturday!

True

I found that out the first time I used it; it seemed like I had to wash my hands for days to get it off.

I find that if you wet your fingers with some of your tank's water (set aside of course) and wet the putty ball before you start working it, less residue gets on yur fingers.

Still , thers is some residue that you have to get off of your hands, and let's not even talk about superglue gel "mishaps"...LOL. I try to wear rubber gloves whenever I work with the stuff.

have something out there for half the price but I think that it is half as good. I got that stick from petland. Never see it at the other stores.

I use the Two Little Fishies epoxy.
Bought it at CBA.

I have found if I mix it and let it stand in a ball for a few minutes (it gets warm) then use it it seems to hold better.
If you try to use it right after you mix, it does not hold very well.

It does get on my fingers, but while the ball of epoxy it is sitting, I wash off the residue with warm soapy water before it sets up.
