Tennessee Aquarium and LFS Questions

I am thinking of heading to the Tennessee Aquarium this weekend. Is it worth the trip from Atlanta? Also, are there any LFS in the area near the aquarium that are worth stopping at? Thanks.

One of the people at the Atlanta Reef Dwellers group that we will be meeting with on Tuesday is a diver there - she might be able to give you some advice but it will be too late for this weekend.

I haven't been to the Tenn Aquarium in years. However, I was really impressed last time I went. It is a really nice facility. Back then, at least, it focused on species in Tennessee, so there wasn't a whole lot of saltwater... but there is tons of neat stuff to see and do. It is definitely worth the trip.

It's definitely worth the trip, at under two hours. I spent the day there a few months ago with my wife and son and cousins and their kids, and we had a blast--the only think that detracted from it was the crowd, and as it is warming up, you may have an issue. The problem is that the layout takes you to the top of a very impressive building and you slowly wind your way down, but sometimes there is a traffic jam as you go...

The giant freshwater tanks are really something to see, and they have an amazing seahorse exhibit, too. Their saltwater tank (and they are adding a whole new building for saltwater, too) is the run of the mill sharks and puffers and wahoo and morays and jacks and tarpin and all that jazz--very intertaining to watch.

My son uttered his first word ther--"fish"--and I've been trying to get him to say it again ever since...
