Technical Question (lighting)

I have recently set up a smaller tank, put the 175 w MH over it outta my 55gallon , since i have moved the light, it has been giving me problems. the light will fire up, but then shortly after it will go out... maybe 30 seconds later. then when u plug it back in, the filiment inside just has a very small light blue to it and it doesnt fire... any idea as to what causes this?

The pulse starter has gone bad from the sound of it, If you know someone else with a 175 light try your lamp there, If it starts then its the pulse starter hooked to your ballast.

well the only 3 parts of the setup are the ballast, the capacitor, and the socket.... I have switced the cap on it already today...
