Stressed flame angel
i bought a flame angel on saturday and put him into qt when i got home. i drip acclimated him for 2 hours prior to moving him into the qt tank. he has just been swimming back in forth in a 4'' pvc fitting i put in there and seems to be rather stressed. today i noticed that the bottom of his one gill cover was white. what should i do here? keep him in qt or move him to the display where he will hopefully be less stressed?

eating is a good sign. hang in there until he calms then move him. catching him now will only make things worse.

It was strange, mine was doing fine all day Saturday and Sunday. It was eating and swimming around. Then Monday when I got up, it was on it's side at the bottom of the tank.

I wouldn't put it in your display. Could it be gill disease? I have never dealt with it personally so not sure exactly how to treat maybe someone who has dealt with it will chime in. I think it may need antibiotics to clear up tho.

soaking the food with garlic may help too. also it may entice him to eat if hes feeling finicky.
