Real Deal purple monster frags for sale Columbus Ga
Due to current job loss and christmas around the corner, I am going to do something I said I would never due. I am prepared to frag one of my purple monsters up. This is the real deal from SandDollar I have had this coral for about 2 1/2 years now. I need to sell as many frags as I can. I can easily get 4 1 inch frags, and 5 or 6 3/4 inch frags. Most will have more than 1 branch. At this time I'm not looking to ship, because I have never shipped any sps, and don't want this to be my first. If anyone interested is with in 70miles I would be willing to drive it to your house,( I love looking at other peoples setups) or you can come to my house. I also have other sps to chose from if you come over. I am looking for 100 dollars a frag (for either size) so the first people will get the best frags.

hydra, is there a local reef club here in the Phenix City/Columbus area? My profile says Jax, FL because I am too lazy to change it but am currently in Phenix City and looking to see what resources are around here.

Everything I have as far as livestock is in Florida in a friends tank. But, is there anywhere around here to even go look at a decent store? The only two I can find so far are One Stop in PC and the one Airport Thruway on the hill. Are there any others? Those two aren't even decent to me

Honestly, no.
There are a couple of places around town but due to the bad economy they are all struggling and going in the toliet fast.
Here is a list of places you can check out...
One Stop - In Phenix City. Tosha and John open the place. They are really nice and if you ask them for a deal... like a little bit off.. they will usually give you a small discount. Don't tell them I told you that tho.. haha..
Dave's - In Phenix City. It closed for a bit but is suppose to re-open in Dec/Jan. Nice guy. Suppose to have some really nice fish rooms and be all fish when he re-opens. The guy is really polite and knows his stuff. He's a bit quiet and shy but will even come to ur house if need be.
Over on the Columbus side you have...
Feather And Friends - Its on Vets. Pretty good place with alright ppl. Jason and his dad own the place and like most LFS they are struggling some. Things aren't awful but they ain't great either for them. If you have questions make sure you talk to Jason the younger guy. I don't think his dad knows to much about fish and sometimes suggests odd stuff.
Petland - Its infront of Outback. (This is the one you were prolly talking about) I hate petland... for many reasons. Not just the ppl or the puppy mill dogs they sell but because of the fish too. I have seen them try to push way over priced fish on ppl. Watched them try to sell tangs with HLLE and the likes. I try to avoid that place as best I can.
Petco - Down across from the strip mall. This place has some really nice ppl in it and where I go for most of my supplies. They actually have marine fish and some small coral selection or clams from time to time. The kid in there Matt... well, he kinda talks out his anus but the other kid Cody is really kinda helpful. He doesnt alway come off the nicest but is very helpful.
Fish days around town are on Thursday. Thats when everyone gets there delivery. No one around here really has a saltwater selection to say nor a guarantee on what you get.
Another place you might want to check out if you're out for a sunday drive is Armchair Safari in Opelika. From what I understand the place use to be the rocking fire but then... caught fire! I been in there once and they had a small selection and some really lovely show tanks. I talked briefly with the guy and he seemed nice. I think I got there just as they were starting to rebuild. They place looks like a dive and is in an old run down shopping center with only like a half dozen businesses in it.
Well thats the run down of what I know for LFS here in Columbus/Phenix City. Im sure I missed some of them and these are just my personal opinions on the places listed above. I try to buy more from ppl that I can drive too then from what we have offered here locally.
Oh, one quick side note. If you need salt... go to Petland. They alway sell the instant ocean bags that make 50 gals of water for 10 bucks. Its a loss leader and they alway have it on sale. Just a tip.

Where is Dave's at in PC?
Petland is the place I was talking about. I noticed the salt prices a few months ago. Thought it was a one time sale but nice to know its always on sale. What I noticed was everything was mis labeled and they tried to tell me a foxface was some kind of exotic clownfish.
Petco I have been in once, was looking for a particular kind of Betta tank and they were out of them.
I don't really go over there much as I don't live but a block from One Stop. That's where I go when I want out of the house and just go in and look around. I have done it enough that they know me by face and have stopped asking "Can I help you?".
Feather and Friends I didn't know about it and next time I am that way, will try to stop in and see it.
Armchair I might make a sunday drive. Opelika is about 30 minutes from me so it isn't too bad considering one of the LFS'es I was using in florida was almost an hour drive from me.
Nice to see someone else in this area that is in SW though. I knew of a few about 6 months ago but they have all gotten out of SW. Either got completely out or went back to FW because of the cost of SW.
Is there a club around here? I know of one B'ham and Atlanta but is there one locally?
