Pots!!!!!!!! I Need Pots!!!!!!!
to make a long story short.. I SCREW UP!!!!!!
my Mandering made the tank moves and now I screw up again and got a second Mandering. my LFS told me it was a blennie and at the time I thought it an Blennien also, but after I took him home and put him into the tank I took a closer look and he a Manding...
most of my pots are dead because of the tank moves and now I got 2 Mandering that will not eat frozen food.
I need pots to deed my Manderings. Any know of a LFS that sale them?

I think you mean Manderin Dragontettes, and you should not have them as they require a larger mature tank with plenty of pods. Most saltwater stores carry them, and will take these back (albeit, sometimes for a financial loss to you, but to the health of the fish, you need to return them).

you can buy them from seapods.com or ive seen small bags of them at cap. bay.but there probably only ten to a bag at most.so you best choice would be to try to get them to eat other things or sell them to other reefers around town that have mature tanks.what kind of mandarins do you got?maybe post some pictures of them and im sure someone would probably buy them.

Well to take the manderins out of my tank would do more harm then good, sine it would mean breaking my tank down to the sand to be able to take them out. My tank does have enough to support 1 Mandering for sure, since he is healthy and fat.

I bought a scooter dragonette yesterday ($20 at FS&M).
The salesperson suggested a few lengths of 1/2" PVC in the sump for a copapod breeding area. The pods lay eggs in the pipes, then when they hatch the babies are swept up into the tank.
I was unclear about whether the pipes should go in the fuge or the return pump section. Anybody else heard of doing this?
BTW - I don't think anybody would be hurt by a spell checker for these forums...

I've heard that too. Half bury 1/2 pvc in the sand in your fuge, with the open end towards the return, so the current can guide pod larvae up the return pipe. Never tried it though.
On topic - seacrop.com sells bottles of pods. http://seacrop.com/Merchant2/merchan...tegory_Code=DG

Mandarins are really slow. If you wait till htey come out of the rock then they are easy to catch.

not ths 1. He is FAST and even try to hid under the sand. Too the LFS and me 20 minute to catch him after we trap him on a conner with nothing but sand. He is FAST and dug himself under the sand to hid.
This 1 will not comming out of the tank without a complet tank brake down. (sand include)
hmm a fish trap may work, but then he will have to be in the sump with the craps while he await pickup. I will not trust those crap with him in the small sump

LMAO. Thanks for the laugh.
Try getting them used to frozen mysis. The smaller shrimp in Hikari packs work well for me. My Mandarin didn't eat frozen foods until I started feeding the Hikari Mysis.

yup CBA has pods for sale.
as far as pipes go you put them in the sump, anywhere is fine, hell sponges work pretty well also. when you see em crawling all over em you just transfer them to the tank.
and if you want to catch the mandarins, just wait till night time. they usually sleep out in the open, and if your fast you can net them before they wake up.
