Thumbs up

45 days

I'm a sailor and never though i could keep a tank because of the commitment and demands. But i have great friends and for 45 days at a time i'm gone, they feed the tank, do the tests and when i come back i do a water change. The parameters are 0 all the way , except for nitrates, 25 to 40.

And the tank is still fine. But now they pretty much know the routine and are willing to do waterchanges when i'm gone so every 2 weeks will be the norm. Its not only my tank its our tank now LOl they are great friends.

Actually my chief in San Diego kept a rather large tank. However, he had a maintenance company come into a seperate room where most of the tank was. They could not go into the living room where the display was but there was a utility room on the other side which had a seperate key where they could go in and maintain the tank. We were a special operations submarine and was deployed quite often.
