out on my weekly tour of pets stores!!
just went to look BUT couldn't help myself. At the most, if I were to break down and get something I had a plan. Just to get a fish, but which one the cardinalfish or the clown.
In the end(starting Sat) I got 2 acros and a banggai cardinalfish. just a few pic's.

I need to take the blocks off the corals I bought.
I decided to wait until they had acclimated to my tank for a few days.
I know these are aquacultured, but the blocks are a bit of a nusiance.
I have a small crab in each of the corals i got, I'll try to get a pic of them today and post. Hopefully someone can identify them as good or bad crabs.

Hey Guys:
How's Bobby's clam selection this week? I'm looking into getting one, now that I have my lights.

I was there on Sunday and he had quite a few clams.
I think the Crocea's were on sale also.
Just a hint unless you want to have to target feed get one at least 3".
At 3" they can survive with just MH lighting as an energy source.

Thanks Mike!
...Actually, that leads me to my second (and third, maybe fourth ) question: - How do you target feed, and what do you target feed with? It seems that you would remove the clam from the tank in a small container, and feed with DTs.
- Also, how long does it take for, say, a "baby" maxima or crocea clam to grow to the point where it can rely on lighting only? I've heaard that those two species grow very slowly.
Thanks again!
- Michael

Mike
I went with Bobby's suggestion for the larger size, due to less maintenance.
I did some research and read most people do use the removal method and feed DT's for the smaller clams.
I put my crocea on a rock higher in the tank and it has attached itself, so be aware of this when deciding on placement.
Not sure about the growth. That's something I'd like to know also.
I thinking about getting another clam and this would be good info for placement.
Cheers
Mike
