odd clown behavior
ok, so all three of my clowns I believe are testing out the waters as far as rubbing on everything they see, the toadstool is number one in everyones book, but one of the clows every now and then will go over to a sponge that I have growing on a rock near the toadstool and rub on it then put a piece of it in his mouth and almost suck on it, he'll kinda squirm while doing this but then get completely still almost like he;s dead, then just swim off. Any suggestions why?
Also have a video, may take a few to load up

In my tank in Oregon, my 2 clowns hosted in my torch and the female would "nurse" on the tentacles and get real still while doing it and then kindof just kind of squirm away. then come back for more... I think it was some sort of "comfort" just like a baby's paci! LOl Both clowns were perfectly healthy and happy so I wouldn't worry. Hope that helps!

It can be funny, but not so funny when she does it when you are out of town.
She even bites me hard when I put my hand in the tank, I sometimes have to push her away.

I don't know if this is at all related, but horses do this thing we humans call cribbing. The horse bites down on a piece of wood (or whatever else is around) and sucks. It releases endorphins in their brains so they get high. Its probably highly unlikely that fish can have the same thing going on, but this is what I thought when I read the post!
