News Flash: Killer Crab Destroys Tokyo
It's like a bad Japanese monster movie. I have been battling this crab for a couple of months now. Every night he takes 2 or 3 corals/frags and has his way with them. Sometimes he throws them around the rock, sometimes he pulls them into the rock, other times he piles them up and still everyonce in a while he just chucks them over the edge of the rock.
When I came home from last nights meeting he had piled them up. I thought I would outsmart him. I made some room in the sand and relocated the corals down there. When I got up for work 5 hours later I broke out the flash light and realized what a large mistake I had made.
As revenge for taking away his favorite toys he decided to attack a green w/ purple edge Capricornis. He systematically went around the coral and broke off about 85% of it's edge. When I got this coral it was only quarter size and pale yellow. Since then it had colored bright green w/ purple edge and was a little bigger than 1/2 dollar size. He was just starting to grow really good and now he's back to quarter size.
I contacted the "Little Reef War Tribunal". The immediatly held an emergency session.
The charges were "Crimes Against Corals".
Minimum Sentence -- Life imprisonment in maximum security facility
Maximum Sentence -- Death by de-hydration
The trial commenced.
The lovely prosecutor Mrs. Kimberly presented evidence of Coral Bashing, Coral Killing, and Assult w/ a Deadly Weapon (his claws). After hearing all the evidence the Honorable Judge Charles deliberated for OHHHH about --- 1 second. The verdict was handed down --- Guilty of all charges.....
A cry of Joy was heard throughout the reefing community !!!!
If captured alive the sentencing will at the discretion of Warden Atom Hawke. If the Warden accepts him, he will be incarcirated for life at the Sponge Bob Center for Wayward Crabs where there is no heat, no water changes and only very sporadic feeding. If the Warden does not accept him, he will be turned over to the executioners bowl for a slow death by de-hydration.
For now a poster was issued "Wanted Dead or Alive"
Updates to follow.

Although I made a joke of it all --- Sadly this entire post is true right down to the SPonge Bob Center for Wayward Crabs. My 3 1/2 year old son Atom is the Warden. Current population 3 crabs and one Mantis. When I finally catch the killer it will be my sons decission if he goes to the Center or goes to the bowl.
But hey if you can't joke about your problems then they are sure to drive you crazy.

Lori drew a sketch of the Criminal!
Charles,
Lori sketched this picture as fast as she could. We have canvassed our neighborhood with flyers. I suggest that you forward this picture to the:
FBI aka Fish Bureau of Investigators
CIA aka Corals & Invertebrates Agency

He's big, snow white, and hairy.
And he looks just like that poster.
I will print many copies and post it in my neck of the ocean.
As for an update. He has now stolen a frag. He threw it off the rock. Last night we watched as he recovered it and carried it to the underside of the rock and jamed it up in a hole effectivly blocking that entrance to his hide-out. For now he seems content with that so I'll let him win this round and keep that frag (I have two others just like it).
But his days are numbered.....................

Sorry you have the wrong suspect. My war criminal doesn't have a hideout he carries with him. But we'll keep an eye out for your beast and turn him in to the approiate authorities if we catch him.
Hey matt good to see you over here. Was wondering where you have been. Will hopefully see you soon but at the latest next meeting.
Charles
