Newest Fish

I decided to splurge and get my favorite fish...well, one of the many . He arrived happy, healthy, and quite photogenic (from liveaquaria.com, thanks to credit from a SWU2 raffle) . After only a couple minutes in the tank, he was out showing off, practically asking to be photographed!

I also got a Midas Blenny...another one of my favorite fish:

And on a random side note, my female mandarin is pregnant! Does anyone have any info regarding dragonet breeding? I know spawning is a common event in home aquaria, but honestly, that's where my experience stops. Here's a picture that shows her large belly: (clearly rounder than the typical "satiated" look of mandarins who accept frozen food)

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Although the concept sounds fun, I highly doubt the results of the mandarins' spawning will yield anything. If fry(?) are born - and not eaten by other tank members - I will certainly make an attempt to raise them, but there's such little info out there that it would involve a lot of guesswork on my part, and I am no expert. You guys will be the first to know if there is any success, though!

Bob: Yes, I suppose I can relate to Scott Michael in that regard! He gets to see all his favorites in person, though...I simply get to leave drool on my keyboard.

amuruges: Thanks, and I would love to take pics of your tank! Photography (particularly the marine genre) has become quite a hobby of mine, and I definitely agree with the saying "Will Work for Frags."

Here's another pic of the Labouti:

And look at her belly in this shot - that looks rather painful!

um, how much photoshop you using there...lol j/k great shots.
Laboutei has been one of my desired fish, They are the prettiest in my opinion. But never would take the risk with as much as they cost, especially how they like to carpet surf.
I just dug your ol blue sided out of the overflow yesterday, My arms are really too big for that. Thank goodness for the complete glass top on that tank.
Maybe you should come take pics of mine, it would probably sell faster...
I know i have it marked at a too good to be true price for all of it. and peope are questioning it. I have personal reasons to give it up.. without it, no need for roomates, but that is another book.
