WOW! It looks great! What a project - whew. You'll love the 90. I really enjoy mine, but have come to the conclusion that no matter what size the tank is - it's still not big enough to put all the corals you want to get. The 90 gives a good amount of depth to aquascape.

thanks for all the complaments on the new set up....
but tragically eveything except 3 snails and liverock are dead !!!
so to all of you that offerd to help,
here is my cry for it...and thanks to all who do...

i need everything, from inverts to frags !!!

update...i aslo have:
1- pistol shrimp
1- green star (serpent)
1- blue leg hermit crab

and of course some colt coral survived...

I just ordered two new 175w XM 15 K bulbs from www.reeftanklighting.com ...got 'em for a great price too.
I should be getting them this time next week
these are new to market, so I figured I would give them a try...caint wait to fire them up for the first time.

well i finished the 'building part' of the canopy...
now i just got to putty, sand, stain, paint, and clear it...
sorry, i no longer have the digital camera to take pic's with...

Is looking really good, congrats... Just a question, don't you think the ballasts are to close to the aquarium glass ???? The ballast are real hot when working, is that bad ????

no, these dont even get warm...
isn't this normal for icecap electonic ballast ?

canopy is completly cleared and drying...

Well, it isn't GHETTO any more....
this stand and canopy look GREAT...
i used an antiquing glase on it to give it that beautiful aged look and it is...

well, i got the new XM 15k's today...
and they are going to take some getting use to...
they are realy blue compaired to my very-old Ushio10k's...but i like them...

i have heard something about burn in time and that they will change color a little, after a while...is this true ? can anyone clue me in please ?

here are a few more of it done...up and running....

by the way the pic's dont do a good job of showing the correct color of the 15k XM bulbs...they are more blue in person....




and i am also sad to say that 75% of the corals if not more...are NOT mine...just holding them for ghotit while i was staining his stand-canopy...
