F.Y.I.
all of the wood for the stand (except the 1/4" plywood) was scrape wood...
the solid Oak i am using was 3 (60" x 1.1/8") solid step treads for stairs that was left over from some remolding, that i ripped into 3.5 & 2.5 wide boards, then ripped them in half to make them exactly 1/2 thick...
the pine was rescude from the trash pile at a local construction site, because it was warped...i just rip it down to sizes as needed...

Any Carpenters among us...?
i am looking to find the router bit that does the joints (Ogee and grove for raised panel to sit in, stile & rail) all in one for doors (ussualy two bits in a set) at a decent price...home depot and lowes dont even have em' in stock Sears does have one of them for $90

So today was the fun stuff.....

sanding, putty, more sanding, pre stain, more sanding, staining....and the tank painted

had to buy an air compressor to keep up with the sander....

i have an industrail air compressor that runs on 220v and no 220v to plug it into...was trying to trade it for one that ran on 110v...but i bought one today...
if anyone is intrested in buying/trading, let me know....
it is an 'EXCEL' :5HP(a true 5 hp) not a 5hp peak,1.7 running like all the new one's that they are selling...30/40GL Tank (all cast iron) bad boy.

If you don't want to spend the time and money making the doors, check out ebay. There are a couple people that make doors to your specs. You could also check there for the router bit set...

for just one set of doors or so then harbor freight has the 3 piece bit set for about $40-60. this will do the panel and the rails/stiles.
you can make everything with a table saw and no bits too though=FREE! need a big table saw though, bigger motor than the craftsman has. trust me on that one too!
i can make doors for you as well if you need to go down that road.
Ill PM.

i use my table saw to do the raised panel...
just need the bit that does the stles and raila and the grove for the raised panel to go in...a good one that will do alot of doors not just one....
i am always building something...
i have used my table saw to do the tonge and grove/(DADO) joints and it isn't as perfect as i like...and my doors always warp later down the road...

this has been a journey, i dont remeber it being this diffacult to do the first time i set up the 75gl. tank...

got it plummed & electrafied...(put the sqwd in the overflow with the durso)
and the skimmer went to town as soon as pluged it in...
the tank is a cloud of gunk for now but i hope it will clear up by morning...

i am sure that that is alot of die off going to take place, so i am going to cycle the tank all over again...(great)

i stained my old canopy to some-what match the stand, until i build another one out of oak as well...

well, here are a few pic's...
