Natural sea water from the Gulf of mexico

Hi I was curious about the water quality in the Gulf of Mexico, off the coast of SW Florida. Is it safe to use that water for my reef aquarium? I looked online and some people say it is good to use natural sea water, but I didn't know how the water around SW FL is. How would I find out if there is pollution and parasites? Also what are the levels of calcium, nitrates, phosphates...etc. Thanks so much.

I would not trust taking water from the ocean...Due to not being sanitized. I buy this Ocean water from petco and to me its the best you can get for the price!
