Nano tank on a whim thread--pictures

Yesterday, I decided I wanted to set up a nano tank. Today, I've got one!

Now I need some tank cleaners and see if it cycles. I picked up some fully cured fiji yesterday and kept it totally submerged and cool in sealed styrafoam, so hopefully I didn't get too much die off. Also, I used aragalive as a substrate so hopefully that will help the cycle. Today my readings are:
pH: 8.1
Alk: 3
NO2: 0
NO3: .2
Ammonia: 0 (not sure I trust the kit)
PO4: .2
Temp: 78
CA: 350ppm

Lighting consist of a 2X40w Satellit PC with 6700k/10000k and 420nm/460nm bulbs, 1 moonlight and a fan.

I'm running some carbon in a small HOB filter and will add Purigen when I can pick some up. My plan is a 2-3 gallon weekly water change and just to keep a close eye on things. I think I'll do a clown/anemone tank, but we'll see. I'm concerned about an anemone getting sucked into the MJ600...

Any thoughts/ideas?

Good start. It might look better if you painted the back black.

yes paint the back black or get a piece of black matboard and stick it back there. Put the anemone away from the PH, most of them dont like a high flow area so it'll most likely move away from it (hopefully) Lookin good cant wait to see it with everything in it.

I thought about painting the back--I may stick a black background to it, but you really only see through the tank like that becuase of the camera flash--with the naked eye, it's not very noticeable.

I just like to add something back there so you dont see all the wires, but thats your call. Hopefully your new tank turns out to work as well as your old one

Update

Here are some updated shots of the nano project. Got some more stuff in there! The clown is a bit shy... will probably go in my big tank once it's up since he's a bit big for the 10g in the long run. I had a misshap with some xenia getting sucked into the powerhead last night, which almost cost the anemone but he squeaked through and is looking good. I was lucky to have mixed up water already this morning and did two large water changes. I'm keeping a very close watch!
