The first one is a ricordia that looked slightly blue with purple tips in a tank withMH. In my tank it turned into deep purple with blue tips and a green mouth.

YES RAY I recognize it now!!!!
WOW what a difference from being in my tank versus yours. When you told me the color of the ricordia was a deep purple with a green mouth, I never would have believed it.
Such a difference from my 250 MH's and actinics to your PC's. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Tole yall. I haven't quite figured out how to work the camera and still get the size down but one day. Maybe my Japanese blood will kick in and give me a hand. I am wondering if Ricordias like bright light but not the intensity. I think 250 Watts of MH verses 250 Watts of Power compacts. I think the same amount of light, however Power Compacts are less intense than the MH. I guess I can experiment a bit more.

Ray, go to www.cerious.com and download Thumbs.
Best editing software even when free. Easy to resize any photo. Take the photo at the max resolution you use to view on screen and archive, then reduce for TRT web posting.

Nice!
I'd love if someone would do an ARC topic on taking good pictures of aquaria. I see some great pics out there. I can get some good ones from time to time, but only because of luck and taking bazillions of pics until one comes out good.
Ray, you might try manual focus if your camera will do it. Sometimes cameras have a hard time focusing through glass. Also, put it in "macro" mode if not already (mine seems to auto-focus on tank pics better in that mode).
I like Ifranview for viewing and shrinking pics. It's free and feature packed.

Well I think I am gonna stick to letting my wife who is photographically inclined to take most of the pictures. Sadly, not only am i tone def, I am about as Artistically Declined as it gets.
