yet one more hope to post more sunday night after I'm done painting and cutting holes for my fans whenever they get here. Not too mention all of the hardware I'm installing oh yeah and trim. They have a nice whale handle at lowes (lid) and some nice locking clasps for the front.

they make a shutter hinge that would allow you to fold the front panel back onto the top. this would get it out of the way. i think its called a throw hinge.

I like your design. Do you plan to enclose it all the way around? Where are you getting your fans?

I have a double 175w MH, 220w VHO retrofit that's goin in it. I got my fans off ebay just because I'm lazy and didn't feel like worrying about burning my house down with shoddy wiring (mine). The fans are five inches and will go in the sides of my canopy.

Dragoon, could you tell me specifically what you used to paint the inside and stain and seal the outside?

Thanks!

Bob

You know Bob, the white epoxy used for refinishing tubs and sinks, is your best option. Seals, waterproof, reflective-slick, it just stinks while you roll it on.

I bought some at Home Depot, Lindberg Plaza this past weekend for $30 a quart but they only sell a kit with brush, roller, gloves, prep solution....
You mix it, wait an hour, then paint. Good for about 60 hours pot life, but the brushes will never be usable again.

Thanks William! Can I get the white epoxy at Home Depot or Lowes? Or do I have to go to a plumbing supply house?
