May be looking for 1/2 horse chiller

I just figured out my chiller may not be able to withstand my new tank. If I could find a good used 1/2 horse or larger, I may be interested. If you happen to have one lying around, let me know. I know there was a gentleman selling a 300 gal aquarium who had one, I just don't know if its still available. I couldn't find his original post.
Thanks,
Richard

I have a 1/3 hp that I've been trying to sell. It is too large for my 90. The doc claims it will drop 1000 gallons of water 5 degrees. It sat for a while and was used for 5 months. The chiller is a drop in and looks brand new.

What are you looking to get out of the 1/3 horse unit?

I have a 1 hp aquanetics chiller that is six years old. It quit working at year number five and I had a refrigerator guy check it out and he said it just needs a new compressor. If you want it it's yours for $50.

If he does not want it I may take it off your hands.

Rgzfly - I'll toss this out there, in case you would consider something smaller than 1/2 HP. Got a 1/3 HP Custom Sea Life Drop-In Power Cooler Chiller. I've not really used it for a long time (since I converted from reef to FOWLR), but it works quite well (my tank is a 180).

Let me know if you are interested or have any questions.

thanks,
Chris

Thanks, but I already have a titan 1500, which is supposedly a half horse. It worked well on my 180., but I'm setting up a 300 with a 100 gal sump plus 40 gal refugium. I think I need a true half horse or larger and don't want to run two in parallel. My power bill is going to kill me as it is, or should I say, my wife when she sees it.
