Mantis

Anyone have one they are getting rid of?

Keep me in mind if you ever find one in your rock.

Yes...any FL aquacultured live rocks seems to have them. I bought a small piece once...could not have been more than a pound....and dang...wouldn't you know there was one in there!

Some of the pet stores have them as well since some people just can't seem to kill them.

You are WELCOME - ENCOURAGED (Please come and get mine) to have my Mantis - if you can catch it without totally ruining my aquascaping!

It hasn't caused any harm YET - I am just nervous since it is in my Seahorse tank.

Margi, have you tried to set any traps at all? I myself wouldnt stick my arms in someone elses tank, because if anything happened.....

But I would even be willing to make a trap, or buy a trap for use. You can use a 20oz soda bottle, cut the top, and invert it into the bottle. Put something yummy in there, and put it in the tank. They can then get in but not out.

If anyone sees one or has one that is caught, they are very interesting creatures and I miss my old one.

It was only discovered a couple weeks ago - so No - I haven't tried anything yet...

Thanks,

Margi
